Senior Hockey

Southern Districts has senior teams across the full range of men’s and women’s competitive and social grades. Southern participates in all Premier and Division grades within the Auckland Hockey Association (AHA) winter competition. The club has 11 senior teams each season and has players of varying ability and age. All teams practice weekly at Kolmar Sports Centre. The Premier mens and womens practice twice a week. Games are played each weekend across six Auckland Hockey Locations.

The Auckland Hockey winter season typically runs from February/March through to August each year.

Registration for the new winter season will normally open in January of each year. Musters and trials are held early in the year with teams being selected about a month before the first games are played
